The second and third of three volumes (see also NLW MS 23701E) of typescript and manuscript accounts by women from Wales of their experiences in the Second World War, selections from which were published in Parachutes and Petticoats: Welsh Women Writing on the Second World War, ed. by Leigh Verrill-Rhys and Deirdre Beddoe (Dinas Powys, 1992). The material was submitted in response to an appeal in 1991 by the publishers, Honno. NLW MS 23073D comprises contributions not represented in the published volume; the reminiscences of Hilda H. Price (ff. 232-241) were published in Llafur, 6 (1992), 110-113. A copy of the complete archive has been donated to the Imperial War Museum, London.

Account books, 1849-1880, of Daniel Jenkins of Coed, Llanddewi Aber-arth, later of Tyngwndwn, Llanbadarn Trefeglwys, co. Cardigan, farmer, containing farming and other accounts; a list of purchasers at the Coed sale, 1874, with the amounts paid for the various lots (MS 22878, ff. 1v, 9v-62); and miscellaneous memoranda. Inserted in MS 22877 is a copy of Reynolds's Astrological and Prophetic Almanack for 1848 (ff. 126-34v).

Snowdon Visitors' Books, 1863-1889, containing the autographs, addresses and comments of visitors to the summit of Snowdon. They contain entries for the periods 11 July 1863-1 July 1866 (NLW MS 16083C), 20 June 1883-25 September 1885 (NLW MS 16084C) and 9 January-20 October 1886, 30 May-25 December 1887, 29 June-11 October 1889 (NLW MS 16085C).

An account book, 1760-1763, of a brewer [? at Caernarfon] dealing mainly with Anglesey and Caernarvonshire customers; the volume was later used as an arithmetic and geometry exercise book, probably by Roberts.

Two composite commonplace books of Edward Jones, Cyrchynan-uchaf, Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, 1824-1831, containing lists of preachers' texts, farming accounts and memoranda, overseers' accounts, sheep ear-marks, a ' carol plygain' (1830) by R. Williams and other verses in free metres, equivalent Welsh and English words and expressions, etc.

Notes of sermons largely by, and in the hand of, John Jones (1807-75), Calvinistic Methodist minister of Blaenannerch, Cardiganshire. MS. 11336 contains a certificate of declarations and subscriptions to oaths made by John Jones (described as of Bryn Hyfrid, parish of Tremain), 16 July, 1863.

Two account books of John Davies, auctioneer, of Talley, Carmarthenshire, 1853-1858, and an account book of Thomas Griffiths, Penrhiwgeingen, Talley, and John Davies, 1862-1865, containing accounts with individual purchasers at specified local sales, e.g. of timber at Pwllfa and Cwmgelynyn, parish of Caeo, and at Maes-pwll, parish of Pencarreg.

A collection of traditions, anecdotes, and poems made circa 1870, by John Castell Evans, entitled 'Yr Hen Amser gynt, ei Veirdd, ei Varddoniaeth, ei Bobl a'i Chwedlau, sev Casgliad o hen Draddodiadau, Darnau Barddonol a Bywgraffiadau &c. yn dal cysylltiad yn benav a Gogledd Cymru yn enwedig Sir Merionydd ...
