Wil Brydydd y Coed

The file includes the manuscript of Thomas Jones's edition of Wil Brydydd y Coed, by David Owen (Brutus). This satire on nonconformity and lay preachers was published in the Anglican magazine Yr Haul, between 1863 and 1865. Thomas Jones's edition was published by the University of Wales Press, in 1949. Also included are photocopies of Bangor MS 988B, being letters from 'Brutus' to 'Scorpion' (Thomas Roberts).
