The file comprises a typescript copy of the broadcast script of In Parenthesis adapted for radio and produced by Douglas Cleverdon, transmitted on 10 November 1942 by the BBC Home Service.

The file contains a script of a reading by David Jones (introduced by Aneirin Talfan Davies) of 'Two Fragments of a Work in Progress' ('The Wall' and 'The Tutelar of the Place') recorded by the BBC on 9 November 1956, and broadcast on 18 December 1956. There is also a letter from Aneirin Talfan Davies and a newspaper cutting relating to the broadcast.

The file comprises two scripts of a reading by David Jones of 'The Hunt' recorded by the BBC on 8 March 1958. Both scripts have been corrected and one has what appears to be instructions by David Jones to a printer.

It includes a script of the introduction by David Jones and some marginal notes by him, and a draft billing slip. The cast list includes Dylan Thomas as Pte. Dai Evans.

The file contains material concerning 'The Dream of Private Clitus', consisting of a manuscript introductory note to a reading by David Jones of the work, two manuscript drafts of the introductory note to the printed text (f. 3 dated 3 September 1963), page proofs of the introductory note and the beginning of the text (pp. numbered 79 and 80) and a manuscript note by David Jones explaining the typographical layout of the work, dated 10 Dec. 1961. There are also what appear to be drafts of a letter or letters to Louis Bonnerot. In these drafts David Jones explains various words and passages in the text of 'The Dream of Private Clitus'.

The file comprises scripts of broadcast talks concerning various matters of interest to David Jones. One script (of a talk by Erich Heller on 'Oswald Spengler and the Predicament of the Historical Imagination') has a covering letter from the producer, Anna Kallin, dated 19 June 1951, suggesting that David Jones give a talk on Spengler.

The file contains four complete copies of the BBC script of 'The Dream of Private Clitus' but without Saunders Lewis's introduction. Unlike LS3/8-9 they do not contain any manuscript corrections or instructions as to how the poem is to be read.

Two typescript copies of BBC broadcast scripts of The Anathemata, adapted for broadcasting and produced by Douglas Cleverdon, 5 May 1953. Both scripts are identical except for occasional annotations and a few pages missing in one script.

The series includes two broadcast scripts of In Parenthesis which was adapted for radio and produced by Douglas Cleverdon. It was broadcast four times on the BBC Third Progamme, together with specially composed music by Elizabeth Poston. The first broadcast script is for 1942 and the second [1946]. The series also includes a manuscript and typescript copy of David Jones' introduction to the broadcast, [1946] and [1964]. Also there is a script of a programme about Welsh poetry, 1943, in which a selection of In Parenthesis was read. There are cover notes by Harman Grisewood in each file. Catholic Mass in Bangor

The file comprises manuscript drafts of a writing by David Jones arising from a report that the Catholics of Bangor, co. Caernarfon, had been preparing for the change from Latin to English of parts of Low Mass (1964). For earlier drafts of this writing see CF2/3. Folio 23 is dated 'Harrow, March 1966'.
