Biography of Lord Davies

A digital copy of a typescript in two volumes (files) of an unpublished biography of David Davies, first Baron Davies of Llandinam by Sir Charles Tennyson, The Middle House, Southwold, Suffolk, entitled “D. D.: The Life of David: First Lord Davies of Llandinam”. With some corrections and alterations in ink and pencil, and with some pages having being edited appears to have been retyped at a later date (with page numbers reflecting this). “Revised version” is written in pencil on both covers.

Typescript of an unpublished biography of Lord Davies of Llandinam, attributed to Sir Charles Tennyson with some corrections and alterations in pen. Approx 500 pages. Several sections of the typescript are missing; chapter 2 (p. 13-24), p. 144 of chapter 12 (although the text appears to make sense), p 357 - 267 of chapter 27 and p. 385 of chapter 28. P. 451 in chapter 32 is incorrectly labelled as p.104. P. 208 is torn.

Correspondence and papers, February 1941-February 1947, relating to an appeal tribute fund for the Bishop of Winchester on behalf of the refugees from Nazi oppression in Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. It was resolved to prepare a memorial statue for Chichester cathedral.
