Observations beginning 'Let us apply the good old proverb Brag is a good dog - but holdfast is still [? better] apply the name of Brag to the North walians - and hold fast to the Glamorgan Bards' (written over part of a bill, 1807-1809, from John David to Mr E. Williams). On the reverse side are notes headed 'Llawdden', beginning 'Pedair Llythyren ar hugain y sydd nid amgen ...'. Repaired.

A note from ... to ..., asking him to beg of Mr Edward Williams to give the writer some account of the Welsh mercenary soldiers to transmit to Col. Fitz Clarence. On the other side is an 'englyn' beginning 'Hir-fydd Castell Caernarfon - ai hanes', with some variations by Iolo Morganwg.

The title reads, 'Elegy on the Death of Llywelyn, the last Prince of Wales ... transcribed from the late Rev. Evan Evans's (the Antiquary) valuable MSS, now in the Possession of Paul Panton, Esq. of Anglesey. Snowden.'
