Indexes to vouchers

From 1889 onwards, the vouchers are bound according to the estate, i.e. Home, Wynnstay, Glan-llyn, Llanbryn-mair, Llangedwyn, Llanforda, Llwydiarth. The indexes to vouchers after 1889 are likewise bound according to the estate. Thus, for example, VIF1 (1890) is an index to the Llanforda Estate Vouchers V54 (1890). Each index is arranged alphabetically according to the name on the voucher to whom payment is made, together with the number of the page on which the voucher is to be found in the appropriate bound volume of vouchers.

Vouchers

The general series of vouchers consists of vouchers relating to accounts found in the general series of rentals R119-R153 (1864-1899) and account books Ai 1-2 (1900-1902). Indexes to the vouchers for the period 1878-1919 are available in series Vig. The vouchers are bound in volumes. These volumes may be as much as 12" thick and one may weigh perhaps 20lb.
