Pasted inside the front cover is a letter, July 1862, from the Reverend C H Spurgeon, the Metropolitan Tabernacle, London.

Included are the diaries, 1859-70, of the Reverend Dr William Morris ('Rhosynnog', 1843-1922), Treorci, with related correspondence and papers, 1865-69. The diaries and papers were used by the Reverend William Joseph Rhys (1880-1967) when writing various histories relating to the Welsh Baptists.

A notebook labelled 'A catalogue of books belonging to the Baptist Academy now at Pontypool' listing books in the college library, 1838 [almost 2,000 volumes, most of which were presented to the college by the Reverend Hugh Hughes Williams, Cheltenham] (pp. 1-38, 49-56), with a further list of books yet to be donated by Mr. Williams (pp. 40-4).
Manuscript sermons in English, 1815-53, by the Reverend Micah Thomas, president of the Baptist Academy, Abergavenny, 1807-35. A note by the Reverend Thomas Lewis, Pontymister, March 1855, at the beginning of no. 16 states that he acquired the sermons from the Reverend Micah Thomas's widow and bound them in four volumes.
