A volume containing culinary and medicinal recipes collected by Mrs John Llewellin, [1850x1870], in which sources are named, dates sometimes given, and comments included on the quality of the resulting fare or remedy.

It appears that the author has noted his own medical discoveries on ff. 66 verso-7.

'Helps towards a more copious Cambrian Biography' containing 'A List [the surnames alphabetically arranged] of Welshmen who attained the Episcopal Dignity, from the year 1558 ... to 1714'. At the beginning is an extract from a letter, dated October 7, 1825, from John Jenkins ('Ifor Ceri', 1770-1829) to Thomas Beynon, archdeacon of Cardigan.

The volume includes the title page, dedication and preface (ff. i-v), contents (f. vi), a list of illustrations (ff. vii-xxi; the illustrations are not included), the main text (ff. 1-254) and bibliography (ff. 255-275). There are some manuscript annotations and corrections, with a number of significant additions (ff. 11, 67, 154 verso, 163 verso, 179 and 249 verso). The printed version includes a few additional changes and an index. A revised edition was published in 1944.
