Carmarthen, Vol. II

One of a series of twenty-one volumes, watermarks 1905-1906, containing transcripts by Ethell Noyes from manuscripts in the Bodleian Library, Oxford, and from a copy of the Golden Grove Book of Pedigrees. This volume contains Carmarthenshire genealogies, including Urien Rheged (ff. 4-11), Idio Wyllt (ff. 12-32), Elystan Glodrydd (ff. 33-44, 69-72), Llywelyn ap Gwrgant (ff. 45-57), the Advenae of Carmarthen (ff. 62-69, 79-98), and Caradog Freichfras (ff. 74-78).

Golden Grove Book: transcripts of Pembrokeshire advenae and Herbert pedigrees

A volume containing transcripts by Ethell Noyes and an unidentified hand from a copy of the Golden Grove Book of Pedigrees, [c. 1765], now amongst the Cawdor Vaughan Muniments at the Carmarthenshire Archives Service. St Davids chapter books,

Notebook containing copies of 'some extracts' memorandums, &c out of the Chapter Books of St Davids &c. taken in 1741 by Richd Davies, Archdeacon of St Davids and Canon Residentiary. With a fragment (pp. 61-77) out of an eighteenth century MS, containing lists of prebendaries and canons of St Davids.

A portion of the original manuscript of the Heroic elegies ... of Llywarc Hen ... by William Owen [Pughe], pp. 79-149, [published 1792]. The manuscript was given by Iorwerth Glan Aled to Rhydderch o Fon who presented it to Joseph Joseph. 35 Folios, the last fifteen of which are imperfect and have been mended. Bound in parchment. A three days' visit to Haverfordwest,

A three days' visit to Haverford West during the Assizes; a poem; dedicated to the Honourable Members of the Law in south Wales. Written after 1818. It seems to be a copy prepared for the press. With lines to the memory of the late Dr Craven, Master of St John, and an epigram by T. B. Loader, miscellaneous extracts and notes on poetical feet. Bookplate of Jos. Joseph.
