Manuscript entitled 'Note of the pedigree and arms of Games or James engraved over the mantle piece in the great hall of Newton (near Brecon) formerly the seat of that family'; refers to the arms of Sir John Games of Newton, 1619, descended from Blethyn ap Maynerch, lord of Brecknock, by his wife Ellen, daughter of Tudor, king of south Wales, together with notes on ancestry. Attached is a circular request, dated 1841, from John Burke for details af armorial bearings prior to the publication of his General armory.
