An incomplete, typescript copy of a work by the Reverend Digain Williams, San Francisco, U.S.A., described on the title-page as 'The Great Hymns of Wales, translated by Rev. Digain Williams . . .', and intended for publication. The text consists of brief notes on twenty-one well-known Welsh hymn-writers (in alphabetical order), with translations into English of some of their best-known hymns. The preface, introduction, and pp. 1-5 of the text, which, according to the table of contents, would have dealt with two other writers, are missing. In some instances, spaces have been left in the text for the insertion of hymn-tunes.

The life of Kurt Ockert,

A transcript of the notebook of Kurt Ockert (1920-2011), a German Prisoner of War, posted to work in Radnorshire during the Second World War who married a Welsh girl from Presteigne and lived there until his death. It was transcribed by the donor George P. Lancett after Kurt Ockert's death in November 2011.

Cuttings on the Aberfan disaster,

The file comprises various newspaper and magazine cuttings, [Oct.] 1966-Dec. 1967, some in photocopied form, concerning the disaster at Aberfan on 21 October 1966, including cuttings regarding the subsequent public inquiry at Merthyr Tydfil, as reported in both the national and local press, as well as articles from the Colliery Guardian. Also included are some pages from a glossy magazine showing pictures of the scene immediately following the tragedy.
