Notice from Edward Wiliams, Flimston, to Mr Edward Whiting, Cardiff, concerning the payment of money due to the latter from the lands of the said Edward Wiliams in the parish and lordship of Rumney, co. Monmouth, mortgaged to the late James Whiting, his brother and to Edward Whiting himself. On the dorse is an account of 'Gwyddor Dewiniaeth'.

Advertisement of a messuage or tenement consisting of a house, barn, beast-house, and stable, with 311/2 statute acres of copyhold land in the parish of Rumney, co. Monmouth, now in the occupation of Lewis William Rees, to be sold immediately. On the dorse are some Welsh words with their meanings.

Bill for £1.2.5 from Messrs. Bould & Maund, tea-dealers and grocers, Bristol, to Mr Wiliams. In the margin is a note that John David, glazier, died on Jan. 26 1808, aged 73.

Receipt (in the autograph of Margaret Wiliams) from Edward Wiliams to Lewis William Rees for £28, for one year's rent for lands in the parish of Rumney for 1786. On the dorse are details of 14 acres of land mortgaged to Mr James and Edwd Whiting.

Bill from John Wood to Mr Edwd Wiliams for £3.5.0 for legal services in connection with a power of attorney to Mr James Whiteing and Mr Thomas of Cabalva and a mortgage to Mr Edward Whiteing.

Receipt from Howel Jenkins to Edward Wiliams the younger for £4, being part of the sum of £10 with interest due by bond from Margaret Robert now Margaret Wiliams, wife of the said Edward Wiliams. Not executed.

Receipt from E. Bowen to E. Wiliams for £1.15.0 for one year's rent due to Thos. Mathews, Esq., the previous Michaelmas for the late Wm. Rees's house in Landaff. On the dorse are some Welsh words (chiefly Glamorganshire) with their meanings.

Receipt from Nichs: Priest, executor to the estate of Thos. Roberts, deceased, to Mr Edwd. Wiliams for £4.0.0 for three quarters of a year's rent of a lime-kiln belonging to the said estate.

Notice from Wat: Morgan, plaintiff's attorney, to Edward Wiliams and Margaret, his wife, the executrix of Rees Robert, her late father, deceased, that John Walton will on the first day of the next Great Sessions for co. Glamorgan commence an action of debt against them for the sum of £5.1.0 due from the said Rees in his lifetime, and will declare against them upon their promise made for the payment of that sum.

Estreat from the court roll of man. Rompney recording the surrender by William Robert of p. Rumney, co. Mon., yeoman, of lands in cmt. Newton and man. aforesaid to the use of Joanna Lloyd of the town of Cardiff, co. Glam., spinster. Copy.

A Note of three surrenders of lands in the manor of Romney dated ?28 April 1766, 15 Oct. 1766, and 23 Sept. 1783. The lands mentioned in the first are two closes, each consisting of three acres, called Tair Erw perthi and Tair Erw hirrion, and two acres and a half called Dwy Erw a hanner yr heul vach, surrendered in trust to Wm. Hugh.

Receipts (2) from Edward Wiliams for the sums of £2.7.11½ and £1.1.0 in part payment of the sum of £32 due from Mr Edward Whiting by promissory note dated 23 Sept. 1783. On the dorse is a note addressed to [ ] concerning his curious idea of Druidic Lots, etc.

Notice from Wat: Morgan, plaintiff's attorney, to Elinor Robert of the parish of Landaff, co. Glamorgan, widow, and Edward William of Landaff aforesaid, mason, and Marg[are]t, his wife which said Elinor and Marg[are]t are administratrixes of Rees Robert late of the parish of Saint Mary Church, yeoman, deceased, that William Rees, gent., will on the first day of the next Great Sessions for co. Glamorgan commence an action of debt against them upon a bond entered into by the said Rees in his lifetime for the payment of £20.
