Testator bequeathed as follows: To Elizabeth Penry, widow, late wife of John Penry, 1s., to Elizabeth Penry, daughter of the said late John Penry, £5, to Frances Penry, daughter of the said John Penry, £4, to Katherine Harbert that lives with me, 40s. due from John Probert of p. Colva; to 'Joan Evans of the Hengoed, 20s., to James Moor the younger of the Hengoed, to Thomas Moor, to William Moor, to Samuel Moor, all of the Hengoed, the sum of 2s.6 each, to the aforesaid Elizabeth Penry, daughter of John Penry, all household goods. Testator bequeaths certain sums towards repairing the churches of St David's and Llandilo; 10s. each 'to my niece Katherin James and my aunt Blanch verch Robert, and my niece Elleanor William'. The residue 'to my wife Margaret and William Latchett'. Testator appoints his wife Margaret and William Lattchett as executors. Probate, dated 22 March 1702, with will and Inventory annexed, of Thomas Prosser of Combewhelly in Llanbeder Painscastle, co. Rad., gent. Testator gives as follows: To my grandchild Thomas Pugh, son of John Pugh, the m. Llwyne gwyne in Crickadarne, co. Brec., and then to his heirs, the rent therefrom to my daughter Gwenllian while she remain unmarried, then to my daughter Mary, on condition that she pay certain legacies, viz. 20s., to my son John Prosser and Margaret, my daughter, wife of Thomas Morgan of Crickadarne (in case the said John Prosser makes any claim on Llwyngwyne, 10s. only is to be given both to him and to Margaret Morgan), £20 between James, Roger, Thomas, John, and Annie, children of Thomas Morgan, and paid to them on attaining 21 years, £40 to John Price - if he die before attaining 21 years, to Gwenllian, my daughter, and Jane, my grandchild, in equal parts. Interest on the £40 to be paid to Anne, my daughter, mother of John Price, or else she to be given Cae Yscybor and Kae Llandeilo, part of Combe Whelly, instead of this interest.
