Writer has viewed the ford; the best method is either to make a temporary road through Mr Jones of Ystrad's field as 'you' come from Llandilo, opposite the place where the river divides itself, or to rail both ends of the road up as being unfordable till the spring; it is impossible to turn the river in winter time. Mutilated.
