If recipient does not enforce payment of David and W[illia]m Griffiths's note, writer will send to Bushop [sic] to do it.
Enclosed was a statement of D[avi]d Griffiths's account.
Enclosed were two notes of L. Jones valued £33 17s. 11d. which writer desired recipient or Mr Powell to call; with compliments to Mrs Jones and Mary Anne; if he could spare the time writer would have come with Mr & Mrs Powell to see recipient. P.S. A bill of £2 2s. 11d. must be included with W[illia]ms & Price's note.
Writer desires recipient's help to recover £8 13s. 5d. due from Tho[mas] Thomas 'of your plase' and two notes and interest and a little book debt from Leolin Jones; £1 3s. 6d. is due to writer since R. Price's death. P.S. Writer complains of his ill-luck or of recipient's indolence; compliments to Mrs Jones and Mary Ann; writer complains that recipient has Tho[ma]s Thomas's money in his hand a long time.
Writer wishes to know how much recipient put his name for touching a survey of the proposed canal. P.S. Writer has received £27 6s. from J. Jones of Tuleglase; recipient is requested to make up the remainder of the note for £52 8s. 7d.; his wife joins writer in compliments to recipient and family.
Writer desires remittance of £10 10s, on account of the money to be paid by Thomas James. [Endorsed by recipient is a memorandum that on 9 July 1799 Mr W[illia]m Jones made an entry on Cyenewydd and Caeglas as he could not get his rent from Tho[ma]s Evan of Cyenewydd].
W[illia]m Williams, late of Trebool, at Carmarthen gaol,
Writer wishes to know whether recipient searched the office about the poundage that Mr Phillipps wrongfully charged; writer has assigned all title of 'them' to his son; he thinks that he will be discharged by virtue of the new Insolvent Act.
W[illia]m Williams, Queen square, Bristol,
Writer has no material objection to the conveyance to Daniel Price; Mr Jones denied the specific terms which he had proposed on the part of his client Thomas James; recipient is requested to write to Major Williams so that writer's brother may attend at Bristol in the course of nine or ten days. Copy.
[William Williams, Queen square, Bristol],
On the other side was a copy of the draft of the conveyance for recipient to instruct writer how to fill up the blanks in it; writer can send the deeds, etc., to Mr Fisher his late clerk, who resides in Langford, to be signed by recipient and his brother; recipient is advised to take certain steps as he may come to an agreement with the other purchasers before the next sessions. Copy.
W[illia]m Williams, Small Street, Bristol,
Writer desires £10 10s. on account of the money to be paid by recipient's client Thomas James; it is not convenient for writer to attend at Carmarthen till this money is paid.
W[illiam]wil[liams] Queen Sq[ua]r[e], Bristol,
The site of the two houses in the town of Llandovery should be included in the praecipe; two similar mistakes have passed through 'our' office; writer considers that he should be paid £40.0.0 without any deduction. Damaged and mutilated copy.
Writ of subpoena ad testificandum directed to Edward Jones, Hugh Evans and Thomas Lewis, gentn., to testify in an action between James Thomas, victualler, plaintiff, and George Griffies Williams, esq., defendant, in a plea of trespass.

Writ of the sherriff for the arrest of Thomas Lewis, late of Lanigon, co. Brecknock, who is indebted to Aythan Lewes, the elder.
Writ to Edward Jones, the younger, and Thomas Bishop, esqs., to receive the oaths of John Josiah Holford, esq., a Justice of the Peace in the county of Carmarthen, together with forms of oaths.
Writ to James Baynham, Edward Morgan, Henry Vaughan and David Prosser to appear before the Barons of the Exchequer at Westminster on 3 Nov. at the suit of Thomas Price, esq.
Writ to John Gould, John Games, Roger Vaughan, Evan Powell and Aaron Davies to appear at the Great Sessions at Brecon to testify in a cause between John Powell, plaintiff, and William Perrott, defendant.
Writer has viewed the ford; the best method is either to make a temporary road through Mr Jones of Ystrad's field as 'you' come from Llandilo, opposite the place where the river divides itself, or to rail both ends of the road up as being unfordable till the spring; it is impossible to turn the river in winter time. Mutilated.
Writer sends recipient a copy of the will of Isaac Jones, late of ?Abertwedog; the grandson Isaac has carried the original about until it hardly hangs together. P.S. Writer wishes to know if the Llanddausant tenement is free for H. Evans.
