Assignment of mortgage (demise for 500 years, dated 6 August 1744) by (1) William Benson of Grosvenor St., in the Parish of St. George's, Hanover Square, Esq., with consent of (2) the Rt. Hon. Bussy, Lord Mansel, Baron of Margam, and the Rev. Thomas Talbot of Collingbourne, Wiltshire, clerk, to (3) John Allen Pusey of Lincoln's Inn, Esq., in trust to secure the repayment of £11,000 and interest, and then to attend the inheritance. Endorsed: assignment to Mr John Harding in trust for Mr James Harding, for the better securing to him of £13,000, and interest. 12 April 1763. Signatures and seals of the first party.

Rental of that part of Margam estate, co. Glam., which has been agreed upon to be settled on the Rev. Mr Thomas Talbot, together with a particular account how the same was set, 1744-1746. The premises are in Landough and St. Mary Church, and Laleston and Newcastle.

Catalogue of the books and other things part of the personal estate of the late Christopher, Lord Mansel, dec., as were packed up in boxes at Newick Place in Sussex, and sent from thence by Mr Richard Hoskins, the Lewes carrier, directed to Mr Tregagle at his chambers in New Inn, London'. The whole number of books is 560. The whole number of painted pictures is 59.

Assignment of mortgage for £760 by (1) Shovell Blackwood of Charlton, Kent, esq., executor of Eliz. Pope late of the same, and (2) John Probyn, lately called John Hopkins, of Lincoln's Inn, and John Howell of the same in trust for (3) the Rev. Thomas Talbot of Collingbourne, Wiltshire, clerk, to (4) John Talbot the younger, of Laycock, Wiltshire, esq., in trust to attend the inheritance for (3) with covenants to indemnify him on account of the loss of the mortgage deed. Signed and sealed by the first and second parties. On the back is the receipt given by Shovel Blackwood for £831 1s. 4d. consideration money paid by the said Rev. Thos. Talbot.

Office copy of the will of the Rev. Thomas Talbot of Margam, clerk, extracted from the Registry of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. The will is dated 27 Jan. 1758. Attested by D. Jones, Richard Box, Thos. Edwards. Proved at London, 22 April 1758, by Jane Talbot, widow of the testator, and John Talbot, esq., an executor.
