A minute book of the Berriew branch of the Montgomeryshire Auxiliary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, 1818-20, together with lists of subscriptions and donations, 1818-25, and an account of Bibles distributed in the parish, 1819-23. A volume, dated 1835, which was originally intended as as arithmetic exercise book for T[homas] Cynddelw Richards and was subsequently used by Mary Richards to record a list of bards, etc. who were licenced ('a gafodd Drwydd[ed]') at a Welshpool eisteddfod [?1824] and transcripts of 'cywyddau', 'englynion', etc. by Moris Evan ap Eingan [i..e. Morys Dwyfech], Gruffudd Kenrick Coch, William Llyn, Iorwerth Fynglwyd, Ifan Dyfu, Edmund Prys ('Mr o Gylfyddyd'), Ywain Waeta, Howel Kilain, Howel ap Llywelyn Ymael [recte ap y Moel], Dafydd ap Edmund, Gruffudd ap Evan ap Llywelyn Vychan, Dafydd ap Gwilim, Gruffudd ap Gronw Gethin, Tudur Aled, Cuttun [sic] Owain, Gruffudd Llwyd ap Dafydd, Richard Gruffudd ap Huw, Gutto'r Glyn, Sion Tudur, Bedo Brwy[n]llys, Rhys Nant Mor, Sir Dafydd Owain, Wiliam Philip and 'Taliesin' [?1864], and anonymous poems. A composite volume comprising two notebooks originally used by the Reverend Thomas Richards (1754-1837) for personal and family memoranda and accounts (mainly 1821-37) of debts, wages paid to female servants, tithes, provisions, payments of interest and repayments of debts. It also includes accounts, 1816-24, between H. L. Eddes Gwynne and the Reverend Thomas Richards relating to Hirnant rents. The volume was subsequently used by Mary Richards, Darowen to record transcripts of letters, mainly between various members of the Richards family but including also letters from R. Llyfr John Morris,

A late eighteenth century manuscript in the hand of John Morris containing a collection of 'carolau' and 'cerddi' by Jonathan Hughes, Llangollen, together with a 'cerdd' and a 'carol' by Daniel Jones, and a carol each by Jo[h]n Edw[ard]s (Glyn Cei[rio]g) and Arthur Jones. All the poems by Jonathan Hughes are included in the author's Bardd a Byrddau (y Mwythig, 1778). At the beginning of the volume is 'Bannau yr llyfyr hwn', being a table of titles and first lines, and the numbers of verses, of each carol. Paste-downs on the inside upper and lower covers contain a note and an 'englyn' by D[afydd] M[orris], Llanfair [Caereinion], 1868, etc.

Dyddiadur Robert Williams, Rhydycroesau,

A diary, January 1832 to 21 February 1847, of Robert Williams, perpetual curate of Rhydycroesau, near Oswestry from 1838 to 1879. Robert Williams served as curate of Llangernyw, Denbighshire from 1833 to 1836 and was appointed perpetual curate of Llangadwaladr in 1837. The diary, which is written in Welsh, contains references to events in his home district of Conway as well as to the areas where he served as a cleric. Beginning at the end of the volume there are poems by [John Jones] ('Tegid') (1828); a list of books entitled 'Llyvrau yn Ty Deon', 19 August 1832; accounts with booksellers, stationers, etc., 1832-9; extracts from Aristotle's Rhetoric; and lists of clothes ('Rhestr Dillad'), linen ('Lliain') and carpenter's tools ('Oferynau Saer').

Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Pontypridd, 1893,

A manuscript in the hand of William John Roberts ('Gwilym Cowlyd') containing two 'awdlau' on 'Pwlpud Cymru' by 'Gweledydd' and 'Hefin ab Gwyndaf' respectively, which were submitted for competition at Pontypridd National Eisteddfod, 1893, and an ?'incomplete adjudication on the 'hir a thoddeidiau' on 'Toriad y Dydd' at the same eisteddfod. 'Gwilym Cowlyd' was one of the adjudicators in both competitions. The prize for the 'awdl' was awarded to 'Obed-Edom (the Reverend J. Ceulanydd Williams, Maesteg) and for the 'hir a thoddaid' to 'Glan Gweryddon' (William Roberts, 'Gwilym Eryri').

A composite volume of three small notebooks containing 'cywyddau', 'englynion' and English verses by 'Sioseb Nerquis', with some 'englynion' by 'I. Ddu' and 'Merddin Wylts [sic] o Nerquis'; and transcripts by Mary Richards, Darowen, c. 1861, of Welsh metrical psalms and hymns by Thomas Roberts ('Philo Cadfan'), Joseph Marpole, William Jones, John Williams (Dolgellau), and anonymous compositions. One of the hymns, dated 1861, is in memory of the Reverend James Hamer 'Offeiriad Llanfihangel [yng Ngwynfa] a Discybl i David Harris [?Carno]'.
