Papers relating to financial matters and other aspects of the administration of the Celtic League and of its Cornwall Branch, including correspondence, membership details, statements of accounts, circulars, leaflets and other printed material, together with additional political and educational material accumulated by Roy Green. They were accumulated by Roy Green as Treasurer of the Celtic League and as both Secretary and Treasurer of the Cornwall Branch (through which he acquired the papers of his successor as Treasurer, Peter Wills), and also in his capacity as a member of numerous Cornish cultural and political organisations and as a founding member and District Secretary of the Cornish branch of the Communist Party of Great Britain.

Financial accounts

Copies of annual financial reports and interim statements, comprising the accounts of the League and of each of its constituent branches, together with Treasurer's reports and associated letters and notes, as well as a description of the financial operation of the League and also notes made by the Treasurer for his own administrative use. Many of the reports were submitted at the League's Annual General Meetings.

Branch financial reports and the central deposit account

Quarterly financial returns compiled by branches of the League, together with reports submitted by the branches to Annual General Meetings of the League, including details of membership subscriptions, sales of Carn and other merchandise, loans, donations, expenditure on events, and other financial matters, as well as statements concerning the League's central deposit account, with related correspondence and notes.

Carn magazine sales

Invoices, remittance slips, tables, lists, letters and notes relating to the production, distribution and sale of Carn magazine.

Co-Operative Bank

Bank statements relating to the League's account with the Co-Operative Bank, together with correspondence between Roy Green and the bank concerning the League's account and his own personal accounts.

Expenses

Invoices, bills, accounts, letters and notes concerning expenses claims submitted by the League's officers and branch delegates, notably the Treasurer, Roy Green, and the General Secretary, Bernard Moffatt.

Correspondence

Correspondence between Roy Green, retailers, and other members of the League, notably Merfyn Phillips, Secretary of the Wales Branch, concerning financial and other administrative matters, especially sales of Carn magazine, bank accounts, branch returns and the financial relationship between the branches and the League's central fund, together with related notes and a leaflet about the 1986 National Eisteddfod.
