A collection of vaticinatory poems and prose, mostly in Welsh, and mostly written between 1607 (p. 13) and 1623 (p. 602) by John Jones, Gellilyfdy (pp. 1-568, 575-640). Part of the volume is entitled 'Llyfr Sion ap Wiliam ap Sion o hen vrudieu yr hen veirdd' (p. 1).

A collection of awdlau and cywyddau written during the second quarter of the seventeenth century by William Phylip. The contents are almost entirely poetical, but the volume also includes transcripts of a treatise on poetical composition by William Middleton (pp. 274-302) and on Welsh metres by John Phillipp [Siôn Phylip] (pp. 303-313). The title page, table of contents and an index of poets are in the hand of Lewis Morris (pp. 1, 3-11, 13-14, 40).
A collection of cywyddau, awdlau and carols partly in the hand of William Bodwrda. Poems by Wiliam Cynwal are especially well represented in this manuscript (pp. 91-185), which is written in three different but contemporary hands. Pages 193-280 are of an earlier date than the remainder of the manuscript.

The manuscript also includes a copy of Chaucer's Treatise on the Astrolabe (pp. 87-100). Gwenogryn Evans states that pp. 1-22, 335-406 and 410-33 are written in an archaic style in the early part of the seventeenth century, while pp. 23-85, 101-33 and 151-303 belong to the last quarter of the sixteenth century. Other parts of the manuscript are later additions, except the vellum leaf (pp. 305-6).

A volume containing a treatise on arms, copied in 1678 'allan or Llifr a fenthyciais i gan Sion Mathews o Ruabon'. It includes the arms of Arthur and other figures from Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia from Brutus onward, arranged alphabetically and mixed up with historical personages; there are 178 entries in all (pp. 3-25). This is followed by tracts including 'Bonedd y Gwyr Gore' (pp. 25-28), and a letter from Thomas Maurice to Dr John Davies of Mallwyd (pp. 345-354).

The manuscript is a composite volume and is divided into four books: Part I (pp. 49-434), Part II (pp. 435-512), Part III (514-942) and Part IV (pp. 943-998). Pages 57-432 appear to have been written before 1563; the remainder belongs to the mid-seventeenth century.
