Constituency papers

The series comprises correspondence and papers relating to Labour Party organization in East Flintshire mainly during Eirene White's tenure of the constituency from 1950 to 1970, many deriving from the general election campaigns of 1950 to 1966. A few of the papers concern political life in the old Flintshire constituency, notably Eirene White's abortive candidature in the general election of July 1945.

The file consists mainly of printed items - election addresses and leaflets and press cuttings - deriving from the general election campaign of October 1951 in the Flintshire East parliamentary division. They include a few publications issued by the Labour Party centrally.

1955 General Election

The file is composed of press cuttings and electoral ephemera published during the May 1955 general election campaign, mainly in the East Flintshire constituency.

British Film Industry
