Copy of the Will, dated 22 Oct. 1722, of Thomas Williams of Doleheer in Boughrood, co. Rad., yeoman. Testator bequeaths as follows: 'To Ann, my wife, the m. called Tuy Duy in Llanelien, co. Brec., with all lands and appurtenances, for life upon payment of 20s. yearly to Samuel Williams, my nephew. After her decease, the profits (over and above the 20s. aforesaid) to John Williams, my son-in-law, and Mary, his wife, until Henry and Thomas Williams, my grandsons, become joint inheritors upon attaining the age of 21 years, when the said Henry and Thomas are to pay £10 each to my grandchildren David Williams, James Williams, Charles Williams, Elizabeth Williams, and Ann Williams upon their attaining the age of 21 years, also the aforesaid 20s. is to be paid yearly to Samuel Williams. If either Henry or Thomas Williams die before becoming 21 years old, his share is to go to the survivor. If either grandchild to receive £10 dies before being 21 years old, the legacy is to go to the survivors. Also, to Ann, my wife, the house called Y Pistill in Boughrood for life, and then to John Williams, my grandson. To Mary Williams, my granddaughter, £100 and all household effects after the decease of Ann, my wife, except the cupboard press and bedstead in the parlour and the long table in the kitchen, which are for John Williams, my grandson. John Williams, my son-in-law, and David Williamms, my brother, are to be guardians of the said Mary Williams, my grandchild, and, if she marry without consent of her guardians, her legacy is to be only £50. Either of my grandsons is to have power to dispose of his share in the m. to the other. Ann, my wife, and John Williams, my son-in-law, are appointed executors, and the will is signed in the presence of Phillip Jones, Thomas Beavans, and John Jones. The will was proved on 23 Dec. 1728.

Certificate by James Williams of Aberedow, co. Rad., gent., steward to Sir Humphrey Howorth, and Dame Mary, his wife, lord of man. Gwernevett alias Glasbury, for a presentment in the Court Leet held 31 Oct. 1728 at the house of William Pugh of Glasbury, that there is a right of way to drive and carry from Dommen Lick (now the lands of Rev. John Williams, clerk) to the village of Glasbury.

Will, dated 16 Nov. 1729, of Bridget, wife of Marmaduke Gwynne of Llyswen, co. Brec., esq., only daughter of Thomas Williams of Velin newydd, esq., dec. Testator (after reciting an agreement between Thomas Williams, dec., Richard Davies, and Pennoyre Watkins, esq., to settle £1,000 on the said Bridget upon Marmaduke Gwynne, her father-in-law, giving up his estate in co. Glam. to his son subject to the payment of £3,700; and after reciting the agreement, whereby Thomas Williams, brother of the said Bridget, became administrator for Bridget Williams, his sister, Jenkin Williams, his brother, Bridget Gwynne, his sister, and for himself, of the estate of Thomas Williams, dec., his father, who died intestate) bequeaths as follows: the residue of my father's estate, now due to me on trust, to Thomas Williams for the maintenance and education of my son Marmaduke Howell, Thomas Gwynne, and any other child up to the age of 21, or until their marriage. If the child or children die unmarried and before they become 21 years of age, the interest from this residue to be paid to Marmaduke Gwynne, my husband, for his life, and then in equal shares to Thomas Williams and Jenkin Williams, whom I appoint guardians of my children, and I appoint Thomas Williams sole executor.
