A typescript history of the first thirty years of the Department of Ophthalmology (1954-1984), based at H. M. Stanley Hospital, St Asaph, by the donor Edward Lyons, MB ChB DOMS FRCSOphth , and '50 years of NHS opthalmic service in North Wales' by K. P. Chandra.

Papers relating to temperance, including a circular letter from Aubrey C. Davey, Education Secretary, South Wales Temperance Union, inviting speakers to lecture on the increasing consumption of alcohol; a list of the successful candidates of the temperance knowledge exam at Port Talbot Temperance and Band of Hope Union, 1926, together with a one-act play entitled 'Hit and Run' by K. D. Evans.

Photocopies of papers assembled by Neil Evans whilst researching the Senghennydd mining disaster, 1913, including transcripts of letters from Will Fisher, one of the rescue team, to his cousin; a diary ('the little black book') of the rescue work which inspired Luther Thomas to write his novel The Deep of the Earth (London,1956); together with book reviews and letters, 1966, from the author; and a photocopy of Rev Emlyn Stephens, History of Ebenezer English Baptist Church Senghenydd 1896-1946.

Roedd hefyd yn aelod o babell St. David yn 1844. = The volume was acquired by William Theeling when he joined the Rechabites in 1844 at the Padarn Lodge. He was also a member of the St. David's Lodge from 1844.

Two volumes containing reports, correspondence, statistics, replies to questionnaires, etc., all relating to public health, infectious diseases, sanitation, housing, etc., accumulated or written by Morgan James Rees when he was medical officer of health in Aberdare and afterwards in the employ of the Local Government Board. They relate to Aberdare, Caernarvon, St Dogmaels Rural District Council and Swansea, also to certain districts in England.

Papers relating to the Liberal Party of Wales, 1961-1962, mainly pertaining to appointing a national organiser for the Party.

Papers, 1968-1985, collated by the former professional footballer Dai Davies (William David Davies) who played in goal between 1969 and 1987, including letters, mainly from the Football Association of Wales, match programmes and his contracts with Wrexham Football Club, 1977 and 1979.

The diaries were transcribed from the originals under the supervision of Esther J. Carpenter in 1960.

A book of hymn-tunes and anthems described as 'Hen Lyfr Dafydd Jones, Bont'. The majority of the items are anonymous. The following composers are represented: 'R. W.', W. J. White, B. Mills, 'T. W.', J[ohn] Edwards, Llangadog, R[ichard] Mills ['Rhydderch Hael'], J[ohn] A[mbrose] Lloyd and J. C. Edwards ('Minimus'). Pasted to the back cover is a printed copy of 'Pennillion i'w Canu yn Nghylchwyl Cymdeithas Ddirwestol Penllyn'.
