There are also letters from Louis F. Quinain (4), Keidrych Rhys (7) and Richard Rhys (3), together with transcripts of letters from D. H. The file comprises letters, 1959-1971, relating to awards presented to Rhys Davies, including an offer to receive the Rhondda Recognition Award in 1959 and the Welsh Arts Council award in 1971; together with a letter, 1967, informing him that his story 'The chosen one' had been nominated for the Edgar [Allan Poe] award for the best short story of 1966.

Letters relating to the estate of Redvers and Louise Taylor

The file comprises papers and correspondence, 1948-1978, relating to the estate of the artist Colonel Redvers ('Red') Taylor (d. 1975) and the administration of the estate of his widow Louise Hayden Taylor (d. 1977) and the sale of their home 'The Studio', Belchamp St Paul, Sudbury, Suffolk, with a copy of her will, 1975, together with a few photographs of the pair; a booklet from an exhibition of his water-colours held at The Lefevre Gallery, London, 1948 (the foreword was written by Rhys Davies); together with sale catalogues including furniture, and books from the Redvers Taylor collection, 1975.
