A manuscript containing a copy of Cyfrinach Beirdd Ynys Prydain in the hand of Hugh Maurice. The text is apparently the same as that in the printed edition of 1829.
A manuscript mainly containing cywyddau of Dafydd ap Gwilym (pp. 1-240). Pp. i-xviii are in the autograph of Moses Williams (1685-1742) and the remainder of the text in that of his brother Samuel Williams. P. i is headed 'Welsh names of Men & Women' and p. xviii is headed 'Librorum MSS. Catalogus'. Pp. 241-250 contain a table of contents. The one hundred and sixty three poems contained in the text have been numbered by Moses Williams's friend William Jones (1675-1749), who once owned the Shirburn collection of manuscripts.
A manuscript in the autograph of Sir John Doddridge containing 'Dyvers Antiquyties ... Concerninge the Principallitie of Wales, the Duchey of Cornewall, and Earldome of Chester'. The text contains references to the investiture of the princes of Wales over the centuries - including those of Edward I and Edward the 'Black Prince' - and the government of the principality of Wales and the Marches.
A manuscript containing 'Traethawd ynghylch Dychymmygjon Dynjon yn Addoliad Duw', being a translation of the work of William King, lord bishop of Dublin. At the beginning of the volume are prefixed two leaves containing a list of Welsh place names and their Latin equivalents.
A manuscript containing flyting poetry exchanged between Archdeacon Edmwnd Prys and Wiliam Cynwal. Following the death of Wiliam Cynwal, Edmwnd Prys breaks off the exchange and composes an elegy to his erstwhile poetic rival (p. 177). Another elegy by Edmwnd Prys, to Siôn Phylip, occurs on p. 187. Richard Morris indexed the manuscript for W. Jones, Armiger, R.S.S., London, 1747 (see pp. iii-v). At p. 124 there is a copy of a letter from Edmwnd Prys to Wiliam Cynwal which refers to nine cywyddau of Wiliam Cynwal, of which a note on p. 93 of Peniarth MS 125 informs us the ninth was lost. The extensive explanatory marginalia accompanying the compositions of Edmwnd Prys, coupled with the fact that the elegy to Siôn Phylip was evidently once folded and carried in the pocket, suggests that this manuscript may be a holograph once belonging to Edmwnd Prys. Much of the text of this manuscript, or one of the same archetype, was transcribed into Peniarth MS 125, though Peniarth MS 49 has four additional lines following 'Dôd i ddôl dedwdd Wiliam ...'.

This text is followed by Gweddiau Teuluoedd by the Reverend Samuel Williams.
A manuscript containing the 'grammar' of Dafydd Ddu o Hiraddug (fl. before 1400), i.e. his 'llyfr cerddwriaeth' dealing with the structure and art of bardism and verse. A note on p. 31 records that this manuscript was copied from a book belonging to Wiliam Llŷn (1534 or 5-1580), which had in turn been copied from a book belonging to Dafydd ab Edmwnd (fl. 1450-1490). A manuscript containing the rentals and estate memoranda of Maurice Wynn of Gwydir; together with the stock accounts of several farms. Among the losses of one farm's stock in the year 1570 is a sheep 'killed by an eagle' (p. 77).
A manuscript written in two hands containing Historia Brittonum, et Cronice de Gestis ac Nominibus Regum Anglie. Beginning at p. 132 is a brief continuation of the Chronicles down to Henry VI in a later hand.
