Most of the volume appears to be in the hand of the Reverend David Jones, biographer of Dean Edwards and author of Life and Times of Griffith Jones sometime Rector of Llanddowror (London, 1902) and the dates 1889 (ff. 198, 201, 202v) and 1891 (ff. 332, 343, 'Copied by me D. J. ...') occur.
