A proof copy of the Rev[erend] Thomas Rowland: A Grammar of the Welsh Language . . . (2nd ed., London, 1857). The inside, upper cover is inscribed 'The proof sheets. Presented by the author to the Rev. D. Ll. James [David Lloyd James, vicar of Pontrobert], Oct. 20th 1865', and on the fly-leaf is a parody by 'Brutus of Haul fame' [David Owen, editor of Yr Haul] of the seven-line hymn stanza [by Evan Jenkins of Llansamlet, commencing 'Duwioldeb yn ei grym'].
