'Wm Prees Crwth's Welsh Poem on my Birth', i.e., the birth of Llewelin Williams, son of Philip Williams,

Beginning: Yr eos felys fiwsig boreywr gwych wy ti. Gai gennyt fynd yn gennad ar fyrder droso fi. I faglan .... [One can be fairly clear that, lacking a good reading knowledge of Welsh, a stranger might write 'Crwth' for 'Crydd', but though not listed anywhere (so far as I know) as a crowder ('crythwr') William Prees - whose signature to A24 has much dignity - may have been both poet and 'crythwr', as well as a notable tenant of the Williams family. It is to be noted that he sends the nightingale to Baglan. Why to Baglan? Was it there the mother's untraced family lived? D.R.P.].
