An oil painting of a brig under full sail in the middle distance sailing in the direction of the artist. A headland is visible on the left of the painting. Probably nineteenth century.

A framed oil painting in which the sitter, aged about 30, is wearing a dark green double breasted coat with his torso facing to the left. He is looking over his left shoulder at the artist.

The sitter is wearing a red coat and facing slightly to the left, his head inclined towards his left shoulder in order to look directly at the artist.
