A view from waste tips on Parys Mountain towards a distant village. In the middle distance appear to be settlement tanks of some description.

[Slate fence at Deiniolen - detail]

A close up of three purple slate slabs used to make a fence. One appears to have become displaced. A farmhouse and small hill are visible in the gap between the slabs. Purple slate was a speciality of the Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda .
