A note by Iolo Morganwg concerning Wm. Roberts of Lancarvan, co. Glamorgan, a blind Bard whom he describes as having died 'about 20 years ago'. The note is written on a sheet of paper which seems originally to have been part of a letter addressed to 'His Grace the Arch-Bishop of York'. On the other side is a draft of the first two stanzas of a poem on 'Seithinin'.

A letter headed, 'Y Cymry sy'n Preswylio yn Cambria Talaith Pensylvania, at eu Brodyr sy'n preswylio yn Nhir Brydain yn anfon annerch', followed by an address delivered at the annual meeting of the Managers and Members of the Beula Seminary of Rural Arts by Morgan J. Rees, Esqr., as president of the Society of Rural Arts, both dated 22 September 1800. Copy.

An essay (8 pp.) by E.W. 'On a Discovery of America by the Welsh prior to that of Columbus', with one or two corrections in another hand. The essay falls into two parts: Various accounts of the existence of Welsh Indians, and 'Observations on the foregoing accounts'.

Marwnad [Lewis Morys], 1771, by Huw ap Huw, beginning, '[ ]wynfyd yw'r byd ai barch!', in the autograph of E. W. and endorsed by him 'Cywydd Gwaith y Bardd Coch o Fôn!'.

Stanzas entitled 'Cerdd Betti Bwt', beginning, 'Holl iengtyd dawnus drefnus dro'. The author's name is not given.

A copy in the autograph of Iolo Morganwg of 'Prophwydoliaeth Twm ab Ifan Prys', a poem in 27 stanzas beginning, 'Chwi Fonedd a Chyffredin o hil y Cymry pur.' 'Thomas ab Ifan o Dre Brynn ai cant ar hyn o gan yn ol ffordd newyddach na chwndid Twm ab Ifan ab Rhys y Daroganwr.' A note at the end states that a printed copy exists under the title 'Prophwydoliaeth Myrddin wedi ei chyfansoddi ar Fesur Cerdd Yn y Flwyddyn 1668. Gan Weinldog o Eglwys Loegr ...-- Yr Ail Argraphiad', but that the name of the printer, etc., is not given.

A series of twenty-seven 'Pennillion Cymysg' by Iolo Morganwg 'For Mr Wm. Davies', followed by a lament or 'Can gwynofain' composed by Iolo Morganwg in Kent in 1775.

'Hymn for the Jumpers, written in 1778' by Edward Williams, beginning, 'Come all ye true believers ...'. The hand is that of Iolo Morganwg but is later than 1778. Draft.

Lewis Hopkin, Hendre Ifan Goch, to ...--. Thanking him for his good opinion of the 'cywydd.' Agreeing that there is little knowledge of native Welsh versification elsewhere in Wales. Other knowledgeable poets could be named [?in Glamorgan], one of the best being Hywel Lewis of Blaen Cannaid in Merthyr. The state of the Welsh language in Glamorgan. Address 'To the Right Honourable Lord C...d...ff, commonly called Viscount M...ts...t', by 'A Friend to the Independence of Glamorgan', June 15 1789. Iolo Morganwg has written some Welsh words in the margin. The following observation also occurs: 'words exeeding four or at farthest five syllables, sound not well in Welsh'. Printed.
