A composite volume of music, consisting of an imperfect copy of a collection of tunes published by H. Humphreys, Caernarvon, Original Sacred Music by John [David] Edwards, Oxford, and a manuscript collection including tunes by J[oseph] D[avid] Jones, W. J. White, J[ohn] A[mbrose] Lloyd, Thomas Miles (a prize tune at Llanfyllin Eisteddfod, Christmas, 1857), and D[avid] Roberts, Bethesda ['Alawydd']. The last item is 'Hen Wlad fy Nhadau'.

A large collection of hymn-tunes and anthems copied by J. D. Jones, 1849-50. A large number of his own compositions are included, together with works by R. Mills, J. Ambrose Lloyd, Charles James, John Roberts, Aberystwyth, J. Edwards, T. Price, J. R. Evans ('Primrose Hill'; 'aged 10 years'), W. Mathews, R. Beynon, T. E. Jones, T. Jarman, R. Edwards, Edward Stephens ('Tanymarian'), J. D. Edwards, D. J. Morgan, J. Morgan, Aberystwyth, R. H. Prichard, D. T. Williams, William Owens, Griffith Owen, J. Morgan, Cadnant, and English and continental composers.

A volume entitled 'The Nightingale Anthems, Choruses and Tune Book', containing compositions by G. F. Handel (including one sung to words by Hugh Jones ('Erfyl')); W. A. Mozart; J. Ambrose Lloyd; John Ellis, Llanrwst (arrangements by William Owen, Prysgol, and 'O[wain] Alaw'); Giacomo Carissimi; Owen Davies ('Eos Llechryd'); John Owen ('Owain Alaw'), including compositions to words by John Jones, ('Talhaiarn'), Edward Roberts ('Iorwerth Glan Aled'), John Jones ('Ioan Tegid'), and Hugh Jones ('Erfyl'), and a winning composition at the Tremadoc Eisteddfod, 1851; E[dward] Stephen ('Tanymarian'); Franz Joseph Haydn; John Mills ('Ieuan Glan Alarch'); John Roberts ('Ieuan Gwyllt'); Brinley Richards (to words by 'Talhaiarn'); and others. On the fly-leaf is a printed leaflet of hymns, etc. to be sung at the re-opening of Clynnog Church, 2 June, 1856, and a manuscript round for three voices by Dr. Philip Hayes. The volume is indexed.
