Deeds, letters and papers, 1688-1803, and a note (late 19 cent.), relating mainly to Thomas Johnes (d. 1733), Thomas Johnes (d. 1751), Thomas Johnes (d. 1780) of Croft Castle, and John Jones (d. 1781) of Dolaucothi. Some of the earlier deeds concern the Powell family of Cwmellan, co. Rad., into which Thomas Johnes (d. 1751) married. The deeds as a whole concern properties in co's Card., Carm., Mont. and Rad.
