Letter from Miran,

After receiving your statement regarding the court case against Rajah Ram Singh I took Ram Singh, Mathra Mall and Munni Ram into my custody and released them after taking their oaths and assurances. I have passed on the statement of Rajah Ram Singh to your lawyer who will pass them on to you. Please ask him to present himself at Murshidabad so that we could discuss the question of privileges to each other in this matter. – Another, contemporary translation of the contents is CR8/1, entry no. 234.
