It has been suggested to the writer that a pressure group should be formed to influence the Government over the provision of more adequate television coverage and programmes for Wales. The Postmaster-General has pointed out the technical difficulties, but has postponed his decision. Meanwhile the 'Popular Television Association' has been revived, and is attempting to secure the third channel for commercial programmes. It is important that the Government be persuaded to admit the importance of the Welsh claim - for the sake of the language and culture of Wales. Proposes to convene a preliminary meeting at the House of Commons on 28 July, and would like Huw T. Edwards to attend 'to discuss this vital question in all its aspects'.
