The said persons are the parties named in a writ of convention pending before the Justices of the next Court of Great Sessions for the county of Carmarthen, touching one messuage, one garden, twenty acres of land, five acres of meadow, ten acres of pasture, two acres of wood, and fifteen acres of gorse and heath in the parish of Llanedy in the county of Carmarthen. Record of Dispute between Sir Humphrey Mackworth of Neath in the county of Glamorgan, knight, and John Rice of Swanzey in the same county, gent, concerning the contract made between Sir Humphrey, as owner, and John Rice, as manager, for the working of certain coal-mines in the seigneury of Gower. Two agreements, the first dated 15 September 1711, and the second 7 March 1712/13, are recited. The said John Rice then puts a series of questions concerning his rights, and answers to them are given by R. V. The mines mentioned by name are Cwm bach, Loughor, Dustnant, Berthlloyd. English.

The lands in the county of Cardigan are to be for the use of Lord Viscoount Lisburne during his life; then they are to pass to the use of the said Edward Rolt and Peter Walter for the term of 500 years, then to the use of John Vaughan, and the said Nicholas Pollexfen and Richard Vaughan. The lands in the county of Montgomery are to be for the use of Lord Viscount Lisburne during his life, then they are to pass to the use of the said Edward Rolt and Peter Walter for the term of 600 years, then successively to the use of John Vaughan, and the said Nicholas Pollexfen and Richard Vaughan. The whole estate shall then pass to the use of the sons of John Vaughan, Wilmot Vaughan, and Henry Vaughan successively.
