They contain entries for the periods 11 July 1863-1 July 1866 (NLW MS 16083C), 20 June 1883-25 September 1885 (NLW MS 16084C) and 9 January-20 October 1886, 30 May-25 December 1887, 29 June-11 October 1889 (NLW MS 16085C).

Snell & Sons Collection of Music Manuscripts,
Manuscripts, mainly [19 cent., second ½]-1933, of the work of Welsh composers, mostly autograph, comprising holographs, copies and drafts of scores and sets of orchestral parts and also lyrics, including works by John Thomas (Pencerdd Gwalia), Dr Joseph Parry, David Jenkins, W. T. David and others. The collection also includes part of a Mass and a Te Deum by Giovanni Bononcini, 1747.

Papers of R. H. G. Smallwood, together with deeds and documents collected by him, 1317-1943, mainly relating to the Wrexham area and mainly 17th-19th cent., comprising deeds and other papers, 1317-1890, concerning various families and properties in Wales, England and Jamaica; Smallwood's notebooks, files, indexes, etc., on genealogy, especially of the Smallwood family, and local history, freemasonry, numismatics and archaeology; material relating to shorthand, including volumes written in shorthand, [17th cent.]-[18th cent.], catalogues, letters, and material relating to Welsh, American, German, Austrian, Italian, French and English shorthand systems; and various letters, bills, receipts and memoranda [late 18th cent.]-[early 19th cent.).

Smallpox unit at Penarth hospital,
Bound report by H. F. H. Dolling, engineer to the Welsh Hospital Board, November 1970, relating to the adaptation of St Mary’s Hospital, Penarth, as a smallpox unit, including his drawings. It was the last smallpox hospital to be built in the UK before its eradication in 1977. Also included is a memorandum prepared from memory in 2009 by Professor Gareth Crompton, Chief Medical Officer for Wales, 1978-1989, and then Professor of Public Health at the University of Wales College of Medicine, which deals with the smallpox outbreak in Church Village and Bridgend in 1962.
