Welsh Social and Liberal Democrats

The group consists of correspondence and papers, 1988-1990, concerning the foundation and early development of the Welsh Social and Liberal Democrats following the merger of the Liberal Party and the Social Democratic Party. They include papers concerning the successful ballot to merge, the mechanics and outcome of the merger, interim arrangements, the role of various committees and sub-committees, the selection and approval of candidates, notes, reports and memoranda, agenda and minutes of meetings, and financial papers.

The group consists of files of papers, 1973-1999, collected by Robin Reeves relating to subjects in Wales. They include press cuttings, pasted and labelled by him, printed items, press releases, memoranda and reports, circulars, circular letters, together with a small quantity of personal correspondence and notes by Robin Reeves.

Notebooks and unbound material containing prayers, sermon notes, addresses, 'suggestions for various occasions', extracts from printed sources etc. in the hand of William Evans Davies (1861-1945), pastor of Drefach (Henllan) and of Ferryside and Coedybrain Baptist churches, and later of Ilford and Newcastle Emlyn; together with correspondence, 1934-1946, portraits, and other material towards his biography. WPA election addresses and leaflets

The group consists of election addresses, leaflets, circulars and other miscellaneous items, 1905-2019, deriving from the Welsh constituencies and relating to parliamentary general elections, 1979-2019, parliamentary by-elections, 1966-2019, the elections to the European Parliament, 1979-2019, general elections to the National Assembly for Wales, 1999-2016, by-elections to the National Assembly for Wales, 2001-2018, and local (county and district) elections, 1952-2017. There are also files of election materials, 1905-1999, deriving from various localities and containing items from an array of different elections.
