A bundle of fourteen copies of a pamphlet entitled 'A National Trust for Wales'. The pamphlet consists of reprints of three articles written by Ifor L. Evans, Principal of UCW Aberystwyth, and published in the Western Mail, discussing what the beneficiaries under the Welsh Church Acts of 1914 and 1919 can do with the capital sum of approximately £2.75m. which they are about to receive.

A bundle of sixteen miscellaneous papers and documents, received from the Church Commissioners, 17 December 1975, mostly undated, and believed to have been compiled partly for the Royal Commission on Land in Wales and Monmouthshire, 1894. A large bundle of documents relating to a case of trespass on land on the farm of Ceinan, p. Mallwyd, co. Mer., against Rowland Thomas, heard at Shropshire Summer Assizes, 28 July 1874. Although the action was brought nominally by Anne Evans, plaintiff, of Ceinan Farm, against Thomas, defendant, gamekeeper to Sir Edmund Buckley, Bart, Lord of the Manor of Mawddwy, it was said to be really brought at the instance of W.W.E. Wynne, tenant of the Mallwyd Estate on the manor, with Sir Edmund being 'virtually the defendant, he supporting and adopting the trespass of his Gamekeeper' (see p.8 of the copy of the brief for the plaintiff, MISC.SUB./SUPP 80 i-iii). The bundle contains transcripts and translations of grants of land and surrenders, 1502-1602, sale notices, including plans, notes on the history of the Mallwyd Estate, lists of tenants, and papers relating directly to the case, e.g., affidavits, notices to admit and produce, bills of costs, etc.

Mer., 1869-93, and comprising correspondence (81); advertisements and business cards (82); receipts (83); luggage labels (84); a yearbook of the Home for Working Girls in London, 1888, with receipts for donations to various charities (85); religious pamphlets and miscellanea (86); newspaper cuttings of Queen Victoria's visit to North Wales, 1889 (87); an account book of cattle sold (88); rentals of property belonging to Mrs Parry (89); a book of handwritten poetry by Griffith Roberts on some of the natural and man-made wonders of the world (90); a guidebook to Kew Gardens (91); a catalogue of art at the Italian Exhibition held in London in 1888 (92); and an inventory of the personal possessions of Mrs Parry and her husband, John Edward, in 1869 (93). The bundle was originally labelled '140: Trustees of the late Mrs Mary Jane Parry'.
