Letters, 1877-1942, from friends and acquaintances, including a few, 1908, congratulating J. Lloyd Williams on gaining his DSc. One letter from Walford Davies, 1934, relating to a private matter and Y Cerddor, another from Sir Harry Reichel, 1910, and four letters possibly from G. J. Williams, geologist and antiquarian, are included.

Manuscript and typescript drafts and an annotated printed copy of the libretto; together with stage directions and a synopsis of the plot. A copy of the printed programme of a performance of the work at Aberystwyth in 1922 is also included.

'List of Welsh tunes'

A list of Welsh tunes 'in M.S. book in possession of Berwyn Evans, nearly all in E flat', in Mary Davies's hand; together with a letter from J. Lloyd Williams to Principal Reichel, Bangor, 1901, relating to and listing some 'Songs of the forest and field'.

Lists of names of plants compiled from various sources. Also included is a letter from A. H. Hyde, 1929, of the National Museum of Wales, emphasising the need for an authoritative list of Welsh names of plants and suggesting that J. Lloyd Williams could perhaps undertake the work.

Lecture notes and one letter, 1940, relating to the history of Llanrwst and Denbighshire, particularly in the context of J. Lloyd Williams's own life. A card advertising his lecture entitled 'Reminiscences of an old Denbighshire Town', for the Denbighshire Society in London, February 1938, is also included.
