On one of the fly-leaves is an imperfect list of correspondents in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), with additions in the hand of J. H. Davies.

An imperfect volume written by Perys Mostyn otherwise Perys ap Rychart ap Howell 'o degaingl (degygl)', 1543, with one lacuna (7 pp.) completed by John Lloyd of Caerwys, c. 1779, from a manuscript of Ed[ward] Llwyd [sic] in the Sebright library. A volume in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), Llanystumdwy containing transcripts, with annotations and translations, of memorial inscriptions from Caernarvon-shire. Among the sources quoted by the scribe are the parish churches or churchyards of Llannor, Abererch, Llandegwning, Rhiw, Criccieth, Llanbedrog and Llangian. At the beginning of the volume is a paste down of a leaf from Y Gwladgarwr, April 1837, containing a biography of Sir John Owen of Clenennau and a transcript of his memorial inscription from Penmorfa church.

A scrap-book compiled by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing material relating to Caernarvonshire poets and literary men, some of it included in Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon. One or two pages are wanting (133-4, 203-4). There is a list of contents at the beginning of the volume. Loose items include a letter, 1907, from 'Rhab' [John Daniel, ('Rhabanion')], Rheithordy Llandudwen, Ger Pwllheli to [ ] (John Owen's epigrams), and a note, undated, from 'Owain Môn' to 'Myrddin Fardd'. Letter 'V' on the spine.

An adjudication (incomplete), prefaced by some general suggestions by and in the autograph of Ebenezer Thomas ('Eben Fardd'), for the Dinorwig Literary Society festival, 16 June 1855 ('Awgrymiadau ar Feirniadaeth Gymreig ynghyd â Beirniadaeth neillduol ar y Cyfansoddiadau ar yr Egwyddor Wirfoddol, a rhai Testynau eraill, o eiddo Cymdeithas Lenyddol Dinorwig, erbyn eu Gwyl Lenyddol, Mehefin 16eg. 1855'), subsequently printed in Y Traethodydd, 1908, pp. 401-407, where John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') is acknowledged as the source.

Williams, Aberystwyth, hymn-books in the Trefecca library, etc. The volume was subsequently used by J. H. Davies to record a few memoranda relating to an inquiry into the problem of the pollution of the river Teifi, 1917.

Two bound volumes made up of bibliographical notes by, and in the autograph of, the Reverend Owen Jones (1833-99), Liverpool and Llansanffraid-ym-Mechain, relating to books, 1551-1807 (474C, 1551-1771; 475C, 1772-1807), almost all of which appear to be in his possession. The notes are arranged according to a set pattern and contain important information about the Owen Jones Collection.

Topography. 4. Tours. 5. Biography. 6. Antiquities. Iv Poetry. According to the list of contents at the beginning of the volume sections were proposed on Music (part of IV), Periodicals (V) and Miscellaneous (VI) but these have not been included. The titles number in all 1096 but there are about 132 blank entries, apparently for the most part intended for later accessions. The latest books recorded in the lists are dated 1839.

An account book of William Williams of Pantygar, parish of Llanybydder, Carmarthenshire and of Clwydffwrn, parish of Llanwenog, Cardiganshire, containing an extensive list of monies received at his bidding day at Pantygar, 10 April 1810, together with some accounts (sales of haberdashery, etc., debts owing to and due from the scribe), 1807-15, a weaving pattern, a ballad entitled 'Hanes o garwriaeth priodas a marw[o]laeth gwr ieuangc o gymru a elwid yn gyffredin y ceiliog du... ', etc.

A scribbling tablet in the hand of J. H. Davies containing biographical extracts and notes mainly of Welsh Wesleyan Methodist interest, e.g. Edward Jones ('Edward Jones, Bathafarn'), John Jones, Dolwen, Llandinam, Montgomeryshire, and William Jones and Ellis Jones, Y Bont Ddu, Merioneth; together with rough notes of an appeal to the Welsh community at Bootle for their support for the proposed national library at Aberystwyth.
