Typescript and manuscript letters received by Philip Weekes, Jan. 1976-Dec. 1982, particularly from Owen Edwards, the BBC's Controller for Wales (7), together with a number of carbon copies of replies sent. Also included are a copy of minutes for a meeting of the General Advisory Council, 3 Nov. 1982; a copy of a paper by John Wilkinson, Secretary of the GAC, on the 'BBC coverage of the industrial situation, January and February 1979' [incomplete]; and copies of notes by both Lord Aldington, Chairman of the GAC, and David Webster, Controller of Information Services, regarding the reputation of the BBC.
