Smith, 1893-1896 (ff. 62-75), Laura Trevor, Machynlleth, 8 May 1894 (ff. 78-79), and John Woodward, 26 May 1893 (f. 80). There is one letter from Lloyd-Owen to Laura Trevor, 2 May 1894 (ff. 76-77). The notes and transcripts, 1895-[c. 1900] (ff. 82-106) include extracts in various hands from Gaol Files, subsidy rolls and wills, (39 Eliz. I)-1781, and relate mainly to Montgomeryshire and Merionethshire and to the recipient's Owen ancestors.

Some forty-eight letters, some incomplete, 1920-1925, to D. C. Lloyd-Owen from Richard Bennett, Bangor and Caersws, concerning mostly Montgomeryshire genealogy (ff. 1-91), together with related genealogical papers (ff. 92-150).
The papers include a list of wills and administrations for 1703-1710 from the Deaneries of Estimaner [and Tal-y-bont], Merionethshire (ff. 92-94); typescript and manuscript extracts from, and notes on, Montgomeryshire wills, 1570-1730 (ff. 95-115, 118-125, 136-138), and Merionethshire wills, 1746-1756 (ff. 148-150); manuscript extracts from Chancery proceedings, (temp. Elizabeth I) (ff. 133-135); and a list of Montgomeryshire wills proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, 1680-1708 (ff. 139-142).
