Over seventy letters, 1940-1955, to John Cowper Powys from various correspondents, including W[illiam] J[ohn] Gruffydd (1) 1942; Timothy Lewis (13) 1943-1954; Iorwerth C[yfeiliog] Peate (19) 1942-1951; Keidrych Rhys (9) 1943-1946; and Sir Ifor Williams (1) 1941. The letters relate mainly to John Cowper Powys's work, the Welsh language and culture, and personal matters.

A letter, 5 August [1939], from Dylan Thomas, at 'The Literary Village' [i.e. Laugharne], to Keidrych Rhys, editor of the literary periodical Wales. The writer is critical of the latest issue (Wales, 1.8/9 (August 1939)), and in particular of a story by S. G. Leonard, 'A labour of love' (pp. 235-238).
There are also references to Nigel Heseltine, Lynette Roberts and Glyn Jones. The letter is apparently unpublished.

Papers, 1936-1986, of literary journalist, editor and poet William Ronald Rees Jones (Keidrych Rhys), comprising a significant amount of correspondence, 1936-1986, from numerous individuals, largely in the recipient's capacity as editor of Wales magazine and including literary articles, poetry, etc. submitted for publication; miscellaneous papers, 1936-1938, 1943-1969, relating to the Wales magazine and consisting mainly of publicity and editorial material; articles, both published and unpublished, and notes, [1950s]-[1960s], by Keidrych Rhys, mainly relating to literature and the arts; and drafts of apparently unpublished poetry, [1950s]-[1960s], by Keidrych Rhys.

The file includes letters, 1944-1978, from Anna Kavan (35), Robert Macbryde (2), Raymond Marriott (8), Roland Mathias (4), Bill Naughton (6), and Count Potocki of Montalk (5), together with a booklet No English horse, published in 1967, containing translations of poems from the Magyar by him and a check list of publications by or concerning him published in 1974. There are also letters from Louis F. Quinain (4), Keidrych Rhys (7) and Richard Rhys (3), together with transcripts of letters from D. H. Lawrence to Rhys Davies, 1929, and of letters from Frieda Lawrence to him, 1928-1929.
