Maent yn cynnwys llythyrau oddiwrth Gwallter Mechain, [1823] (ff. 1-2), James Griffiths, Treliwyd, [1821?], 1826 (ff. 5-7), J. W. H. Pritchard, Homerton, 1824 (ff. 8-11), a George Roberts, Ebensburg, 1801 (i'w dad), 1823 (ff. 14-17). = Fourteen letters, 1801-1859, mostly addressed to Samuel Roberts and John Roberts, senior, from family and friends. They include letters from Gwallter Mechain, [1823] (ff. 1-2), James Griffiths, Treliwyd, [1821?]-1826 (ff. 5-7), J. W. H. Pritchard, Homerton, 1824 (ff. 8-11), and George Roberts, Ebensburg, 1801 (to his father), 1823 (ff. 14-17).
Mae f. 13 yn cynnwys copi, 1825, o gerdd o'r enw 'The Cottage on the Hill' gan y Parch. James Troubridge, Cerne Abbas, Dorset. = On f. 13 is a copy, 1825, of a poem entitled 'The Cottage on the Hill' by the Rev. James Troubridge, Cerne Abbas, Dorset.

Jones, Ohio, 1857-1858 (ff. 38-43), William Jones, Ohio, 1858-1859 (ff. 47-52), George Roberts, Ebensburg, 1850 (ff. 60-61), a William Williamson, Maes-Glas, 1826-1833 (ff. 70-75). = Thirty-seven letters, 1823-1860, mostly addressed to Samuel Roberts from family and friends. The correspondents include Richard Griffith, Newtown and Llangollen, 1858-1860 (ff. 14-37), John R. Jones, Ohio, 1857-1858 (ff. 38-43), William Jones, Ohio, 1858-1859 (ff. 47-52), George Roberts, Ebensburg, 1850 (ff. 60-61), and William Williamson, Greenfield, 1826-1833 (ff. 70-75).

Mae ambell un yn cynnwys copïau [gan S.R.?] o lythyrau (dyddiedig 1831-1834) gan ei dad, John (ff. 2 verso, 59 verso, 69 recto-verso, 73 recto-verso, 75 recto-verso). Mae'n debyg i rhain gael eu copïo ar gyfer llyfr S.R., Cofiant y Parch. John Roberts, o Lanbrynmair (Llanelli, 1837) sydd yn cynnwys cyfieithiad Cymraeg o'r rhan fwyaf ohonynt. = Some of the letters include draft replies by S.R. A few contain copies [by S.R.?] of letters (dated 1831-1834) by his father, John (ff. 2 verso, 59 verso, 69 recto-verso, 73 recto-verso, 75 recto-verso). These were probably copied in preperation for S.R.'s Cofiant y Parch. John Roberts, o Lanbrynmair (Llanelli, 1837) which includes Welsh translations of most of them.
