Llythyrau at S.R.

Tri deg-pump llythyr, 1823-1860, y rhan fwyaf at Samuel Roberts oddiwrth teulu a ffrindiau. Mae'r gohebwyr yn cynnwys Richard Griffith, Drenewydd a Llangollen, 1858-1860 (ff. 14-37), John R. Jones, Ohio, 1857-1858 (ff. 38-43), William Jones, Ohio, 1858-1859 (ff. 47-52), George Roberts, Ebensburg, 1850 (ff. 60-61), a William Williamson, Maes-Glas, 1826-1833 (ff. 70-75). = Thirty-seven letters, 1823-1860, mostly addressed to Samuel Roberts from family and friends. The correspondents include Richard Griffith, Newtown and Llangollen, 1858-1860 (ff. 14-37), John R. Jones, Ohio, 1857-1858 (ff. 38-43), William Jones, Ohio, 1858-1859 (ff. 47-52), George Roberts, Ebensburg, 1850 (ff. 60-61), and William Williamson, Greenfield, 1826-1833 (ff. 70-75).
Mae rhai llythyrau yn cynnwys atebion drafft gan S.R. Mae ambell un yn cynnwys copïau [gan S.R.?] o lythyrau (dyddiedig 1831-1834) gan ei dad, John (ff. 2 verso, 59 verso, 69 recto-verso, 73 recto-verso, 75 recto-verso). Mae'n debyg i rhain gael eu copïo ar gyfer llyfr S.R., Cofiant y Parch. John Roberts, o Lanbrynmair (Llanelli, 1837) sydd yn cynnwys cyfieithiad Cymraeg o'r rhan fwyaf ohonynt. = Some of the letters include draft replies by S.R. A few contain copies [by S.R.?] of letters (dated 1831-1834) by his father, John (ff. 2 verso, 59 verso, 69 recto-verso, 73 recto-verso, 75 recto-verso). These were probably copied in preperation for S.R.'s Cofiant y Parch. John Roberts, o Lanbrynmair (Llanelli, 1837) which includes Welsh translations of most of them.

Griffith, Richard, b. 1833 or 4.
