Lawson and Lettie Watkin Davies, with draft replies and notes by Edward Griffith; a memorandum dated 17 May 1697, of a promise by Rowland Owen, Garthyngharad, Merioneth, to pay six pounds to 'Elisabeth ap Hugh of Creyrau'; a fragment containing the autograph of Rowland Ellis [?Brynmawr]; pamphlets and offprints of articles by James Jones Levick, George Vaux and Thomas Allen Glenn; photographs of Brynmawr and Tyddynygarreg, near Dolgellau, and of Llwyn Du, Llwyngwril; etc.

Material relating to the history of Diserth, particularly of the castle and parish church. Among them are extracts from the parish register, 1623-36; extracts from public records (Recognizance Rolls, Patent Rolls, Close Rolls, Royal and Historical Letters, Domesday Book, etc.), Peniarth and Harleian manuscripts, Bodrhyddan estate muniments, and printed sources; a note by T. Allen Glenn on an inscription in the churchyard; transcripts of letters of Alfred Neobard Palmer, Wrexham, 1910, and H. B. Thompson, Blundellsands, 1910; and a pedigree of the family of Hughes of Kinmel, compiled by Philip H. Lawson, Chester, 1914.

Mainwaring, Galltfaenan, Trefnant, relating to the arms entitled to be used by the Dinorben (Hughes of Kinmel) family, and particularly to the relationship claimed to the family of Hughes of Llewerllyd, co. Flint; together with holograph letters and a postcard, 1914, to Thomas Edwards from Philip H. Lawson, Chester, and Charles S. Mainwaring. The papers include extracts from Bodrhyddan estate muniments, a Hughes of Kinmel pedigree prepared by Philip H. Lawson, and the opinion of A. M. Burke, 1 Cloisters, Temple, E.C., 1906.
