Caitlin Thomas,

Undated holograph letter, [1945], by Dylan Thomas to Caitlin, written in black ink on air mail paper (ff. 1r, 2r) and sent from Paulton[s] Square, Chelsea, possibly shortly after the shooting incident at Majoda, expressing his love for his wife as he lies bedridden with influenza in London.

D. J. and Florence Thomas,

Holograph letter, dated 31 December 1941, by Dylan Thomas to his parents D. J. and Florence Thomas, written in black ink on lined paper (ff. 1r-3r) and sent from Chiswick, thanking them for the Christmas presents; writing from London, he refers to the time spent in Oxford with Alan and Margaret Taylor over the Christmas holiday, the urgency to find somewhere for Caitlin and Llewelyn to stay near the capital, his recent work on short information films and a radio script, a visit from Vernon Watkins, and a poem published in Lilliput. The envelope is postmarked January 1942.

Daniel Jones and David Higham,

Correspondence, 1953-1954 and 1958, comprising twenty-two mainly typescript letters, mostly from the literary agent David Higham, of Pearn, Pollinger & Higham Ltd, to Daniel Jones, and including five replies (two unsigned) from Daniel Jones, one being a 9 ff. draft letter. Among the topics discussed are the collection of Dylan Thomas letters, edited by Daniel Jones and Vernon Watkins; the publication of a collection of radio talks by Dylan Thomas; the radio production of 'Under Milk Wood'; the publication of Under Milk Wood in Mademoiselle, the serialisation of the work in the Sunday Observer, the edition published by Dent containing a preface by Daniel Jones, and the Acting Edition of the play; incidental music to Under Milk Wood, including the composer's rights; the poet's papers in America; the circumstances surrounding his death; and Caitlin Thomas.

Glyn Jones,

Papers, 1953-1990, of Glyn Jones, including four letters, 1953-1979, by him to various recipients, and one letter, 1958, to GJ from A. G. Prys-Jones, all of which relate to Dylan Thomas; together with a script, [1979], containing autograph corrections and additions, of a talk by GJ which appears to be an introduction to a performance of 'Under Milk Wood'; and photostat copies of seventeen letters, 1934-1953, to GJ from Dylan Thomas, with typescript copies of the same annotated by GJ and Ralph Maud. Also included is a manuscript draft of a series of five articles by GJ about Dylan Thomas published in The Western Mail, 1958; a postcard, 1958, from Richard Evans praising the articles; a scrapbook belonging to GJ containing articles and papers, 1953-1986, mostly relating to Dylan and Caitlin Thomas; additional notes and drafts of talks, [1954x1970], by GJ about Dylan Thomas; and papers relating to the Dylan Thomas summer schools at Swansea (1974) and Aberystwyth (1990) attended by GJ.

Correspondence, 1975-2000, of Paul Ferris, including letters sent by him to Daniel Jones, Gwen Watkins and Jeff Towns, relating to his biographies of Dylan and Caitlin Thomas, and The collected letters of Dylan Thomas (London, 1985). Also enclosed are copies of three letters from Dylan Thomas to Caitlin, [1936], John L[?], 1942, and John [?Arlott], [c. 1945], and a letter-poem about New Quay, dated 1945.
