One of thirty-nine volumes containing copies and abstracts, in the autograph of Bradney, of wills and administrations, principally of Monmouthshire interest, among the ecclesiastical probate records of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury preserved at the Principal Probate Registry, Somerset House, London and among the ecclesiastical probate records preserved at the District Probate Registries at Llandaff, Hereford and Gloucester, together with holograph and autograph letters to Bradney and miscellaneous notes, draft pedigrees and other insets in the autographs of friends and official searchers. Several of the volumes are indexed. This volume contains wills and other documents of the families of Milbourne, Scudamore, Hoskins, Pratt, etc. from various sources, 1343-1843.

A bundle of miscellaneous papers comprising an English translation of 'ye Memorial presented in Latin to the King of Great Brittain by Monsieur Le Baron de Palm the Imperial Resident upon ye speech made by His Majesty to the two Houses of Parliament on the 17/28 of January 1726/7' (No. 1); a printed programme for a musical concert at Penbedw, 24 March 1772 (No. 2); a pedigree of the Scudamore family certified at the College of Arms, 21 March 1821 (No. 3); booksellers' bills and receipts, 19 January-5 May 1827, for books and manuscripts purchased by W. W. E. Wynne (Nos 4-7); lines composed by John Roberts on Penbedw rent day, 22 January 1829 (No. 8); a transcript by W. W. E. Wynne of 'Kywydd barddnad Lewis ab Owen' by Owain Gwynedd (No. 9); and a description by W. W. E. Wynne of the Mordaunt family vault in Twivey Church, Bedfordshire, 1832 (No. 10).

Notebooks used by John Montgomery Traherne to record notes and 'collectanea' mainly relating to the history and topography of Glamorgan, Glamorgan families and pedigrees, and miscellanea. NLW MS 6534A contains notes relating to the Scudamore family.
