The file comprises mainly of correspondence, 1968-1969, relating to the preliminary meeting and other early meetings of the English Language Section of the Academi. The preliminary meeting was arranged by Meic Stephens and the file includes invitations sent out by him, letters of reply, and letters commenting on this first meeting. The file also includes letters inviting writers to become members of the Academi, their replies and lists of those writers who have accepted or declined membership. There are a few references to discussions about the establishment of a new English language literary magazine, an idea which was rejected for the time being. The file contains correspondence, 1970-1971, accumulated by Sally Roberts Jones as Secretary of the English Language Section of the Academi Gymreig. It includes a letter inviting A. G. Prys-Jones to become the next chairman of the English Language Section following the death of Jack Jones. There are also letters relating to poetry readings including one to be held by the poetry group Horse, established by Peter Finch. The file comprises correspondence, 1955-1984 (with gaps), including draft letters by Glyn Jones, relating to The valley, the city, the village (London, 1956 and 1980), mostly from the publishers, J. The file comprises papers, [1975]-1976, relating to Poems '76, ed. Glyn Jones (Llandysul, 1976). The poems included in the anthology appeared between 1974 and 1976, though it seems they were composed, and some published, before this period. The series comprises papers, mostly manuscript and typescript adjudications by Glyn Jones, of various, mainly literary, competitions, 1945-1988 (with numerous gaps). A number of adjudications are for competitions at school and chapel eisteddfodau, but also include adjudications of the BBC radio short story competition, 1950-1951, with letters from Gwyn Jones (9), Aneirin Talfan (5) and A. G. Prys-Jones; the Arts Council Poetry Award, 1956, which contains letters from Gwyn Jones (5); a competition sponsored by the Welsh Arts Council to translate a poem by Waldo Williams, 1970, with letters from Elan Closs Roberts (4), T. J. Morgan, Gwyn Williams and Waldo Williams (photocopy, 1963); and the Poetry Society Dylan Thomas Award 1984, with a letter from Susan Hill.

Papers, 1953-1990, of Glyn Jones, including four letters, 1953-1979, by him to various recipients, and one letter, 1958, to GJ from A. G. Prys-Jones, all of which relate to Dylan Thomas; together with a script, [1979], containing autograph corrections and additions, of a talk by GJ which appears to be an introduction to a performance of 'Under Milk Wood'; and photostat copies of seventeen letters, 1934-1953, to GJ from Dylan Thomas, with typescript copies of the same annotated by GJ and Ralph Maud. Also included is a manuscript draft of a series of five articles by GJ about Dylan Thomas published in The Western Mail, 1958; a postcard, 1958, from Richard Evans praising the articles; a scrapbook belonging to GJ containing articles and papers, 1953-1986, mostly relating to Dylan and Caitlin Thomas; additional notes and drafts of talks, [1954x1970], by GJ about Dylan Thomas; and papers relating to the Dylan Thomas summer schools at Swansea (1974) and Aberystwyth (1990) attended by GJ.
