It was agreed and implemented that the defeated forces [runaways] did not have enough force left to return to this place and that they would return the way they had arrived here. Whatever way they decide to go they will go before our victorious forces reach there. As Raja Chatar Dhari Singh has arrived here for paying his respect, and it is necessary that he does this, it is not advisable that you take the journey and reach here by rapid and long distance coaches. Therefore, I suggest that you let me know the name of the place you are staying at present so that I reach there to meet you. I will do whatever we decide among ourselves during this meeting

I had earlier sent you a report on the situation in Azimabad. I hope you have read it by now. My advice is that we should sent reinforcements to Maharajah Ram Narayan. We can then achieve our victory. I will be leaving here in the early part of the evening tonight. If you travel at midnight your army can easily reach the destination in time. It is necessary that we march continuously to reach the battlefield as it is imperative that we help the Maharajah Sahib.
P.S. As the Maharajah is fighting on our behalf he should be able to issue order on our behalf. Although he did not reply to two or three parvanahs I had issued previously but in the present circumstances he may be allowed to do so

P.S. After I have travelled fourteen Karoh from here I intend to encamp at a distance of fourteen Karohs from Shafiabad. If you could travel six or seven Karoh from where you are now then you will be about two to three Karoh ahead of us

Today, 24 Shawwal, reg. yr. 6 when five gharis of the day remained, I received three letters from the Nawab Sahib, one addressed to me, the other to you and the third to Amir Beg Khan. I am sending yours and Amir Beg Khan's letter to you for information. As it concerns a very important matter, it is necessary that we meet and discuss this together. Please let me know where you are going to be stationed next so that I could come there and join you there

I am sure by now you will have reached Murshidabad safely. Kindly inform me about the time and manner you reached there so that I do not worry about you. As the commanders of the Prince's army have not built any bridges on the rivers and canals on our way nearly three hundred of my cavalry with their belongings drowned while crossing these rivers and an equivalent numbers of horses and foot soldiers also perished in the same way. I received this information when I reached Kirnagar [?] on 1 Zi al-Qa'ad, reg. yr. 6. I waited for the people who were left behind at two or three other places and also instructed my men to construct bridges on rivers so that they could cross them easily. I am hoping that they will soon reach here. Previously Rajah Manik Chand sent us some daggers made by one of his blacksmiths. I believe this blacksmith makes excellent swords and the minister / Diwan of Mas [?] Sahib is a keen collector of swords and daggers. I therefore request you to send the aforesaid blacksmith to me so that I could oblige the Diwan with some gifts. Raja Manik Chand, former Diwan of Rajas of Burdwan, was appointed Governor of Calcutta after its capture by Siraj al-Daulah
