Tune book, early nineteenth century, containing hymn-tunes, psalm-tunes and anthems by various composers, including Hugh Jones, Maesglasau (ff. 6 verso-7, 20 verso-1, 39 verso-40 ), David Harries, [Carno] (passim) and John Williams, Dolgellau (passim), apparently first compiled 1804 by the Reverend Richard Richards (1780-1860), Meifod, but partly in the hand of his brother, Lewis Richards (1799-1860, his signature, 1819, on f. 85) and with annotations in the hand of his sister, Mair Richards, Darowen. Accompanying words, where present, are in Welsh.

Ellis, Dolgellau, 1841, and traditional and anonymous tunes; a poem entitled 'Amgylchiadau Marwolaeth Crist', an 'englyn' ('Y Farchnad Ysprydol'), 'englynion' by 'Shion Rhydderch', three hymns ('Mae'r gwaed a redodd ar y Groes', 7 stanzas, and 'Wrth edrych ar y sail', 4 stanzas, 'Ni'm diystyrir gan fy Nuw', 1 stanza), and a recipe for a cough.

Barddoniaeth John Williams, Dolgellau,

A volume described on f. 1 as 'Llyfur O gwyddau (sic) ag awdlau Ag Englynion Diwiol a Dyfysionol O waith John Williams [?'loan Rhagfyr'], Hetiwr o Ddolgelley'. The contents consist of Welsh poems, 1763-1764 and undated, by the said John Williams, all the compositions except one being in strict metre. In addition to the religious and devotional poems referred to in the superscription on f. 1 there are several poems of a secular nature including 'Cywydd I ofyn Coat I Mr. Edward Roberts o Hendre'r Coed Tros Ellis Pritchard', 'Molad Meirion ', 'Englyn I Gastell Harlech', 'Cywydd I annerch John Richard, Bardd Ieuangc yn Nyffryn Ardudwy', 'Cywydd I ofyn Coed Gwydd I Mr. Dafydd Lewis o fron wion Tros Robart y Panwr', and 'Cywydd I Annerch Ellis Roberts o Lanrwst'.
